Odds are, you’re currently living in an area that is dealing with COVID-19, and you may be socially distancing yourself from other people as you do so. Being in your house all the time can be stressful and make you anxious. Here are some ways you can improve your home life until this all blows over.
1 Declutter the House
Why not get some spring cleaning out of the way? It’s a good time for you to go around your home and see if there are any items you want to toss or sell. Right now, there may be people who have less money, and they may need the items. Or, you may need the money. Selling your items through eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace are just a few ways you can benefit. With that said, always practice hygiene. Try selling online, so you don’t have to handle someone else’s money.
2 Redecorate
Now is a good time to decorate your house if you want to. Paint your home colors that bring out your best mood. Have some lawn decorations handy. Rearrange the home and mix it up. Redecorating your house is a great way to keep yourself sane during all of this.
3 Grow Some Plants
Have some plants ready, be it on your windowsill or in your garden. Maybe grow some fruits and vegetables to avoid an unneeded trip to the store. Plants can be nice on the eyes, and they can be good for your mental health during this crisis.
4 Get Some Sunlight
Having sunlight is important for your health. It also helps regulate your sleep cycles and wakes you up when you’re feeling tired. Open the blinds and let in some sun, or relax in your yard for a little while.
5 Sleep In
Speaking of which, why not sleep in a little bit? You’ll feel much better when you get the chance to catch up on some Z’s. Don’t be afraid to close the curtains and take a little nap. You deserve it.
6 Make Some Money From Home
Many people are learning how to work from home during this crisis. Working from home can involve selling some goods or doing some freelance gigs online. There’s a job out there for any talent, including writing, art, answering calls, and data entry. If you’re on leave due to this crisis, it’s a good way to keep the money coming in.
7 Try a New Hobby
Now is the time to get into a new hobby. Has there ever been a hobby you’re interested in, but you never felt like you had the time or the drive to get into it? Now is the time to get into it. Don’t be afraid to get into a hobby because you feel like you’re not good at it. For example, if you’ve always wanted to paint a picture, marathon some Bob Ross videos and paint along. If it makes you happy, who is to stop you?
8 Spend Time With Your Family
Now is the time to bond with your family, at least those who live with you. Have a little movie night with your spouse. Participate in some activities with your kids. Do everything you can to make the most out of this quarantine. It’s mentally stressing for everyone, and that’s why it’s important to
